Okay I was not able to watch the Eraserheads Reunion Concert but I believe it is a no-brainer to say that this concert is truly memorable, if not, historical. First, this reunion concert came out of nowhere, no one was really expecting that it would happen because of personal issues, then this concert was almost canceled due to thecontroversy surrounding the supposed major sponsor of this event (which was a cigarette company), the Department of Health reportedly announced that they will not allow the concert to happen because of that reason (good thing though a concert promoter who I suspect is a true e-heads fan came to the rescue), then came the sad news of Ely's mom's death days before the concert, but the concert still went on, although it was cut short because Ely was rushed to the hospital. Truly one dramatic event. And based on the Eraserheads Reunion Concert thread at PinoyExchange the fans really enjoyed the concert, too bad it was cut short due to an uncontrollable circumstance but they said it was worth it. Hopefully, there will be a part two, right?
And I hope if that happens, I could also be there.
The latest news that I've read is that Ely Buendia is in good condition right now. Thank God.
Get Well Soon. I hope he will have a speedy recovery. And I really hope and pray that there will be a PART 2.
The effect they have on people is truly amazing, just reading people's views on online forums you could really see how Eraserheads left a big impact to the Filipino people. Although I was too young during the peak of their popularity, I am still proud that I grew up being exposed with their songs. Simply unforgettable.
Here were the songs performed during the concert:
4. Hey Jay
10.Wag Kang Matakot
12.With A Smile
13.Shake Yer Head
14.Huwag Mo Nang Itanong
